Re: Equilibrium Searching For: [non-PvPers]

foolish indeed..anyone who spots the informer will think he's a target and tp off in a non pvp area. Poor guy won't be able to team with anyone

Maybe this position is actually for the "decoy informant". This decoy will flush homins away from zones, while the real secret informants do their jobs.

Re: Equilibrium Searching For: [non-PvPers]

the only problem would be that noone can guess where the decoy informant will flush the people off to They can just port anywhere

But indeed that will make the search easier: "Aha! now we know this wretched so-and-so is not in Nexus anymore! gotta keep looking "

Nice thoughts.... Hmm, does anyone have a idea HOW to keep a informants name secret though? Considering he is asking questions/trying to locate a person.....

Re: Equilibrium Searching For: [non-PvPers]

Err, of course . Don't tell anyone the informant's name except those that Need To Know, like the hunters. Then it's up to the informant and the hunter to try to make sure their identity remains secret. Once the secret is out then I guess a new informant will be needed .

I imagine your bounty hunters could find and recruit their own informants, there's not necessarily any need for a branded Equilibrium one.

or you could teleport to zones and do /who to see if the person you are looking for is in that zone.

Re: Equilibrium Searching For: [non-PvPers]

I don't really see it as a position that would take a ton of questions to be able locate a person. Most people that I know anyhow its pretty easy to guess where they are between a couple different zones or so depending on whether they're working a combat skill or digging. Just try a few TP's and use the /who command =P

Re: Equilibrium Searching For: [non-PvPers]

You need one more position : trackers

the trackers stay in the PvP areas (one in each region) example : one in Under spring, one in EF one in WG one in ToT etc.

They pass as normal PR diggers but every now and then they use /who command to locate the target. (so they don't get too bored they can swap regions or get time off or smthg) Then the informant follows it to make sure it stays in the PvP areas and contacts the bounty hunter.

You can use bounty hunters that aren't on duty for the job

just my 2 pence :P
