Sorry Acridiel but your over reacting. Along with all those cries for new looks on weapons and stuff do you remember the cries about not wanting mission rewards that hurt crafting? Now hearing that at least in some way there will be item rewards from missions people are again just expressing those concerns about how it might be implements and possible effects it might have on crafting. Sure we don't know enough about how it will be done yet to judge but letting GameForge know it is a big concern of the community that it doesn't hurt crafting is not "dumb".

Re: Ryzom Development

It could just be more "generic" patterns, like the tryker bow rifle pattern that is given as a rite reward that has so unbalanced the game.

Yes it could be. I like that Phelan mentions that it doesn't hurt crafting as it shows they are aware that we don't want that but that doesing make making sure GameForge know how important this is to alot of us bad. At least with what ever implementation of it they go for they can't say they didn't know that we didn't want them consider the effects on crafting.

You remember those Rewards for the Hack´n Slay of Episode 1?
Almost just looks, just a tiiiiny bit of better stats.
I think these new LOOKS will not harm anyone. And if people just go after looks, damnit it´s their own fault.

DO you always havt to assume the worst possible outcome?
Is it cool to whine about everything?
Is it a sign of greatness to assume the worst and completely derail what someone said?

Sorry for the rant but sometimes I just don´t get you lot.

And if you think I´m rude in pointing out your dumbness on this one.

Re: Ryzom Development

I have recently completed some of the encyclopedia rites, and found them entertaining and fun. One of the rewards was a new crafting plan for an axe. If the "new" mission rewards are introduced as crafting plans, rather than the item itself, I see no negative impact on the crafting community from that.

Re: Ryzom Development

We can't tell you more at the moment regarding these future rewards as they simply don't exist yet. As Acridiel pointed out, new looks is something you've been asking for in the past and we agree with you that more variety is needed, so we started working on it.

When we will be creating missions linked to them, then you will have more information in the "development" section of the site; as stated by Phelan we don't want to harm crafting with these, we are well aware of your concerns. But really, it's just too early at the moment to tell anything more. However some related devshots may appear in a not so distant future.

Sorry, but the only ones overreacting IMHO are those who see doom and gloom everywhere.

And you answered yourself just two posts later, so why even ask me? Oo

*LOL*

I may be a bit stressed bc of my new Job, but I realy don´t get this "Ooooh, where all doomed, because we get no "real" info" attitude."

Edit: Thanks Marjo!
