Losing Cho repercussions

Well I can't say I am surprised to see Cho closing. It's only purpose was to compete with Arispotle server, and I never could understand that.

Closing a server of course displaces the population, but it's not as drastic as some would think..the apartments are instanced with no personal decor, so no changes there in the transition,
The materials are located in the same places to dig, and compass locations transfer too.
The players will arrive in Arispotle at the same cities they logged out on Cho ?, and the TP tickets are also valid.

The Cho 'refugee' and Aris player will both benefit from increased numbers of homins to trek/hunt/battle/socialise with.
And leaving Silan the players have ONE destination which will of course increase the population further...nobody likes to log into a very low population server !!!!.
I am sure there are folk who stay on Silan for the population alone

The big change is the Outpost ownership.....this is going to cause a LOT of changes in the ownership of outposts.....I think the 'gentleman' agreements of 'community outpost' ownership has just gone bye bye !!!!

I see the change as removing the obstacle that has for too long seperated ONE community.

I look forward to the new changes the Cho homins will bring to Arispotle

I like you.
Send me a ingame tell and we can discuss a few things ingame.
Things like YOUR fame, your guild etc.

Re: Losing Cho repercussions

I am looking forward to the arrival of the cho refugees, and I am pleased to see a welcome party is being planned. I am also happy to know we will all benefit by the influx of homin .

But amidst all this celebration and group hugging there is a serious issue that must be addressed....Outpost ownership.
Are we to deteriorate into Aris/Cho factions ?
Are any guilds willing to 'share' ownership/produce from an OP ?
I ask that anyone in a position (Ie, owner of an OP) declare their intention, offer any assistance/advice to the incoming Cho folk.
If this issue is not discussed now, it will be 'discussed' in OPchallenges....and we know where that leads........

Re: Losing Cho repercussions

And talking about OP's on the forums makes things happy and peaceful? I suspect 95% of the battles run with less grief then one OP thread.

I would suggest that if a guild from Cho wants to contact a guild or alliance that has what appears to be similar goals and philosophy, they not do it here on the forums. Private messages, or contacting members in game would be the route to go.

Yes, I would agree with Pero.
As for advice well mine would be to recommend everybody just takes a deep breath before jumping in to anything. Theres more to the game than outposts after all, though not as much as we'd like perhaps.
