I wonder, though, if dual boxing almost has the same effect on the community. I understand the frustration at times of finding a cp'er or a healer or someone to level up with. But does not dual boxing end up separating the community and giving people a reason to NOT group? Don't we end up losing the interdependency on each other that is built into the game?

But we can't help the fact that all those dual-boxed alts also mean more subbed accounts to the game, thus, more money for Ryzom. It's sad to say it, but, until we get enough subbed players, those paid alt accounts are still essential to the survival of the game. Financially, that is.

And it's not because you have an alt that you won't group. Some people use their mastered alts to bomb heal or nuke out of team while their group kills whatever mobs they are hunting (mostly Plods or Shalahs).

Very true, Skerkalyn. I didn't think about the extra subbed accounts. And yes, there are definitely those out there who use their alts to help out others.

I guess what kinda irks me is when I see a new player who's made it to the mainland asking for someone to team with to work on skills, and someone will reply with, "Make a slave account. It's easier than trying to find someone to team with."

If you don't have any other 250 it could help you do dodge, wear a better armor and betters jewels, use the best auras, ...

Yes, thats a valid point. Enough has been said in this thread, I'm already looking forward to bots dedicated to find and mark other bots.
