No workaround that I know of.
I see you have SP1 installed. Perhaps installing SP2 will give you solace. Other than that I'm out of ideas. I run on Vista Business with SP2 and I have no trouble running under OpenGL, apart from the memory leak, but that only happenss after more than 12 hours or so logged in.
