Thanks for the quick response. Part of what's covered is a point of view of how each of us see the RPGing - no right or wrong. Personally, I don't see any problem with having 5 characters interacting with each other. I don't see it as all that different from interacting with other peoples characters.

However, you make one comment which I'd like to pick up on, as it may mean I'm misunderstanding something fundamental in the game. You say something like 'one character can do it all'. If so, that's great & I can set up one of each race (for variety etc) on that basis.

However, I'd assumed (perhaps erroneously) that the 250 level limit was there to stop one character having ALL skills and to force a player to make choices about where their characters skills should go.

As you will appreciate from my initial post this game is very new to me but already I can see a long way down the offensive magic skill tree. I haven't seen anything showing just how far each skill tree goes.

Are you definitely saying that in practice it is possible to do all 4 major skills with one character without getting problems with the 250 limit.
