The recent events and trying to get the message out

Okay then...

The Cult of whats his name gather a few people together and told them some stuff. Since very few people were invited, and I bet fewer were really paying attention, what was actually said isn't very clear. Jena is coming to heal Atys with her pure love...or something like that.

The, the vile and lying Kami make an open announcement near the gates of Yrkannis...and again, only a few people were there, and fewer were paying attention, and I have ablsolutly no idea what was said.

Could we please either have a central thread where these grave pronouncements can be recorded and read by players who might not be on during peek hours BST; or (and even better) have an NPC that the players could talk to and get the story?

I remember once, long long ago, when the kitin still tried to invade our lands, we had a Tryker ambassador come to the capitol cities and tell us something was about to happen. Maybe the Kami ambassadors could do the same thing?

*If* Jena is coming, why are her servants (the Karavan) not trumpeting this news across the land? They should be glad of this news and be trying to get all of us that side with the Karavan on board with excitement.

If, on the other hand, it's an attempt to destabilize the fragile peace by the Kami, the rumor is obviously the best tool for the job.

What you propose would rather spoil the point of the whole exercise and remove a portion of our participation as players though, wouldn't it.

To quote the prophet.

Yeah?
And?
So?
What?

The meeting wasn't some secret cabal coming together and forming a shadow government. We were just told the basics and told to spread it. Which some people have been doing. Then those that hear pass it on again, and again, and it gets mythologised.

Keep it in game, spread your idea about a conclave or cabal, sow mistrust, its fun!

I don't see how. Unless you take an elitist view that *only* the players online at the time should be privy to the information imparted?

If the Kami made an open announcement, then it obviously wasn't a secret meeting, and it should be no problem to have those detail repeated. Of course, the Kami were spewing self serving lies, but I would still like to know what was said.

But grim, we can't really take your opinoin on this... because YOU WERE THERE. Of course you dont mind. Honestly, don't answer this, but think how you would feel if you were not invited. You would be curious too, and not want to settle for blimy rummors.

Yes, but you're pursuing it and getting in a tizz out of character, here, on the forum, with the guides and the players who were there.

Its a mystery for you to look into, unravel and seek out in game.

I have missed events, some of them I was peeved about, missing out on titles, grinding many many tokens in Fyros and then Tryker to try and get special wepaons and missing out.

For _ME_ that's compensated for by the times when I have been around, because I know participation has been significant.

Fair point.

I still think all the vigour would be better spent in game though.

I just can't log in tonight, hence the forum spammage.
