[FAQ] How to get Ryzom fixed up in case of crashing
If you are hanging while trying to launch Saga of Ryzom then try these procedures.
Try this first: - rename SAVE folder to SAVE.OLD - relaunch game If you are still having lots of problems getting Ryzom to run, try this: - Rename the UNPACK folder found in the Ryzom game folder to something like UNPACK.OLD - Run the client_background_downloader_rd.exe application from the Ryzom game folder and select FIX. (DO NOT RUN ryzom_recover.exe) This will get all the main files reloaded onto your system and you should then be able to launch and patch properly. Tip: Disable your anti virus software while doing this. You can always scan the folder again once you are finished. Some anti virus stuff can interfere with the game files while they are being patched. If you are still crashing after these then you should check your drivers, system cooling and maybe even your RAM. http://www.memtest.org has a free utility.
