Killing (ganking) in the PR

1st off i would like to apologize to the CSRs for carrying over a topic that was brought up in a flame war, and will most likely start another. so please close this thread if and when you can. i am just posting in my own self defense sense my name was brought up directly by a few people and i believe i should have a right to defend myself in a public manner.

Ok i will admit i am a ganker when i kill a KA digger (i dont kill neutrals or free karavaners or kamis) in LoU. But i do this for a reason, i see the ongoing war between the KA and the kami alliance AS A WAR. People are diggin in the PR for one of two reasons, 1st and the bigest is to level up their PR harvesting in a place that has a bit less agro and better weather. the 2nd reason is to harvest off of supernodes to get a large amount of sup mats, these mats will be eventually be used to create weapons or armours with the sole purpose for killing me and my fellow kamis in a OP battle. In real life there has never been a problem with bombing factorys that are being used for war time efforts... and that is all i am doing.

Also after i kill a digger i make sure he or she leaves the PR completely, i usually i end up staying down there for about an hour to 3 hours when i have nothing to do or feel like some alone time in my favorite spots. There only have been a few occasions where KA members have come back ready to pvp and to protect their diggers (something i do for my fellow kamis i see down there and just not from fellow PCs but from voraxs and kinchers as well). On these occasions where the KA fought bravely against me they usually lost or got to the point of stalemate between me (and sometimes a person that joins me down here) and they decided it wasnt worth their time, or decided they couldnt find any more willing people to join the fight against me (all of the pvp in LoU i been involved in was with me being out numbered(i dont see killing a digger as pvping btw))

So basically what i am getting at here is go head and call me a "ganker" (as well as anything else you can think of, even throw eggs at me in emotes in front of the stables in Fairhaven) but please understand that if i kill you it isnt cause i get my kicks off of killing someone in 2 hits or a single nuke. Realize that i am killing you cause you are part of a opposing force (i dont see anyone as my enemy) that threatens my fellow kami brothers and sisters as well as my karavaner and neutral friends and family that chose not to side with the KA.

On a final note i would like to see more kamis going to LoU and patrol the regions for KA diggers and protectors (any that believe they cant do it alone but would like to please send me a tell). Also for the KA i would like to say protect your diggers, teach them and show them that they shouldnt fear for their life when they see me in region or anyone else that may prevent them from diggin in LoU.

Im pretty new to this game, but u get a clear message when entering certain zones... one of the words are: Be careful! Also something down the lines of U are entering a PVP zone..... what couldnt be clear about that?

There is nothing wrong with Pvping in LoU- the region was made pvp for just the reason you stated, to include the factional "war". It may annoy some folks, but as long as you aren't aggro dragging there really is no reason to complain if someone gets killed by you. Grumble yes, complain no

With all that said; remember that although it is perfectly legal, ( and I for one don't have an issue with it ) excessive pvp on diggers leads to a lot of hard feelings and could impact your relations with other players and guilds. Of course this could be good from your point of view

LoL Japa! Pvp in LoU isn't as big a deal as some would make out. I mastered prime roots and still occasionally help folks in LoU and have only been attacked once or twice in the last 6 months or so. But thinks may be heating up soon enough. I just hope folks can handle it maturely and have fun with it.

Actually, to tell the truth, I preffer getting ganked occasionally to typing /who and only seeing my own name there....

LOL! Okay lets all schedule a LoU pvp event with diggers and guards. We can keep score and declare a "Supreme Gankmeister of Umbra" at the conclusion of the event!

I think too many people candy-coat this point. In the end, we're part of an evolving storyline, and that storyline involves conflict, shift, and change between the two factions. That little mission one takes at the Kami or Karavan temple actually has some (if not much at this time) meaning to it. As has been pointed out time after time, certain zones of the Prime Roots and Nexus are meant to be sites of conflict between homins that have declared their support for and wish to act upon such a belief. This certain system of PvP, contained only to the some of the more dangerous areas of Atys and totally avoidable, is just another way the world was designed for us to make a difference.
