![]() Right, I noticed something just now, and quite frankly it's made me seriously reconsider continueing to play, as it's a really irritating bug that, had I known about it earlier, I might have far more skills and upgrades to my characters name than I do now.
The bug: When you go to a skills trainer and buy a skill, the next level up version gets added to the end of the list (if you're eligible for it) and the rest of the list remains unchanged. If however you close then re-open the window telling you which skills you can now train, not only does it re-order the skills and add in other skills that required the one you just bought, which made this bug harder to spot, but certain skills will now be cheaper than they were before. I honestly wonder how many skill points I wasted when buying skills and upgrades because I'd not spotted this earlier. Last edited by eewec : March 17th, 2009 at 02:33 PM. |

Yeah, skills will list differently during purchasing than they will after you reopen the window. I can't believe this would cause you to reconsider play though, since it's such a minor issue. Since new skills become available to you, you should probably be scanning the list during each purchase anyway. I'd chalk this one up to "feature request"; put a ticket in. Maybe one day when the devs can get to feature requests, we'll see this arranged better.
As far as the cost for skills, the costs update when skills are purchased. Even if they didn't it wouldn't really be that big a deal since cost calculations are server-side and visual display is client side. What I mean is that it doesn't really matter what you are being displayed, the calculation will still take into account your previously purchased skills. If this continues to be an issue I'd probably look into potential network problems, as the data may not be getting to your client properly. Peace, - Sui |

Actually the bug I saw... or thought I did... was that the prices didn't change without a window close reopen step, however, that seems to have either been resolved, was a display bug that has cleared, never was and my eyes were deceiving me, or some combination of the above.
If my eyes were deceiving me, then feel free to get shot of this thread, as it's in completely the wrong spot anyway. |
