Attack after Dodge (again)
I know this topic was posted a little while ago, but I couldn't find the thread to add to it, my apologises.
I understand the basics of this stanza (I think) but I am actually having a little trouble justyfing a reason to use it. I have a created an attack using this stanza, and sure enough when I dodge I hit this action and I carry out my attack. Even in the system window it says that I "took the opening". When I "took the opening", do I stop him from his next scheduled attack? As it seems that my dodge attack still took the same amount of time required to pull the attack. After the attack, it reverts back to my standard attack - as expected. All of these attacks only execute after the action bar has filled, which is puzzling me in the purpose of the special attack as I may as well leave my player using my standard attack. After taking the opening, has this served a purpose? What advantage does this "new attack" have over my standard "hit for all its worth" attack? If someone could post their attack stanza's for their standard attack and their Attack after dodge attack I might begin to see a purpose in using it. Sorry for the longish post, I'm trying to explain it as best as I could. I want to make the most of the skills Ryzom has to offer, but I need to understand the advantages of this and similar skills before I can properly use them. Thanks. |
