  • CD-i Emulator
    CD-i Fans CD-i Emulator is a windows compatible emulator for the Philips CD-i system. The emulator is hardware based and requires a CD-i players ROM (BIOS) in order to function. Full details about how to upload the ROM from the CD-i player to your PC is described on the website. Currently a time limited demo of the emulator is freely available for testing purposes with your ROM. The unlimited edition can be purchased for 25 Euros with free future updates for the base case version.


  • ISO Buster
    Peter van Hove's ISO Buster is a very nice tool, designed to browse trough CDs (or CD disc image files without the need to burn them onto a CD), and best of all: it supports the CD-i filesystem, so you can browse trough the contents on a CD-i disc and extract MPEG audio and video.
    Also works with Windows NT based systems (like XP), and therefore it is a very suitable alternative to the CD-i Filesystem Driver for Windows 95/98/Me.


  • CD-i News Group
    CD-i news group, also accessible from Google Groups using the above link, can be used for all your CD-i inquiries, including CD-i players, compatibility, PC access of CD-i discs (including driver software and versions), authoring, availability of software and spare parts.

    This site's goal is to investigate all consumer software titles that have been released for CD-i. Includes numerous reviews and a discussion board.

    OlderGames mission is to serve video game enthusiasts an unparralleled level of support publish games for classic gaming systems. They also (re-)publish new CD-i games, including ones that never came past the official beta-testing stage.


  • The CD-i Collective
    This site contains a lot of comprehensive descriptions of CD-i titles (mostly games), including screenshots and opinions. It also includes tips and tricks on how to optimze gameplay for a couple of titles. Looks very promising for the future!

  • GameFAQs - CD-i
    The CD-i section of GameFAQs delivers tips, walktroughs and cheats for many CD-i games, but best of all this site contains extensive reviews for a great number of CD-i games.

    A site for the CD-i gamer! Delivers hints, cheats and tips for over 30 CD-i games.


  • PMpro support site - former www.cdprosupport.com
    Official archive mirror of the former Philips/OptImage/PMpro CD-i authoring support website that was located at www.cdprosupport.com. Contains hundreds of technical documents about CD-i authoring hardware and software products.


  • Robin Burrow's CD-i Utilities
    Robin Burrows created some tools for Microsoft Windows that can come in handy for CD-i developers. MoguLike is a Windows tool that can generate MediaMogul-compatible scripts which can directly be processed by Script2Disc. Furthermore, there are some graphic converters and viewers.


  • Philips Intellectual Property & Standards
    This web site of Philips IP&S gives you all the information you need about the steps involved in the licensing process of all official CD and DVD based optical disc systems, including CD-i, Video-CD, Super Video-CD, Super Audio-CD and DVD+RW. The site has some very extensive white papers available for download.


  • RadiSys OS-9
    RadiSys (formerly Microware) is the developer of the OS-9 system, which was the basis for CD-i's operating system CD-RTOS. CD-RTOS is in essence OS-9/68000 version 2.4. This site provides more information about the OS and its uses.
