Question on exporting heightmap to NeL via 3DS Max - Error message

So I was following the steps from the NeL page on how to take heightmaps in .png format and convert them to NeL format, to be inserted in the game world, and I keep running across the same error. I think I have all the proper dependencies, but odds are I'm just missing something somewhere in order to complete this task. I'm able to get into 3ds and run the create maxtrix script, I can select the .png file for the tile I'm looking to convert, when I try and save the file, I get the following message:

"Could not create K:FOA Kassandra World Build HF/Kassandra Mosaic_x0y0.ifl"

K is my external drive, and Kassandra is the game world's name.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

That error message is kind of vague. Are you sure the k: drive is still available?

Yes, the K: drive is always available. It's a 1TB external drive w/ 300 gigs of stuff on it, so plenty of room for the map files... I understand the error message is a bit vague, but I'm guessing I'm missing a dependancy somewhere and because of it 3ds can't create the .ifl type file needed to generate the matrix I'm looking to have done. I've looked on Google and a bunch of modeling sites, but haven't found an answer yet, and I was hoping that someone else had run across this type of error before.

Well, I had to ask ;)

Maybe someone else will have a suggestion in the morning. My Max trial expired so I can't do any testing for myself!
