New Race-Specific Animations
Nevrax has just published a poll regarding the planned race-specific animations, where you will be able to decide whether you'd like to get the new animations, or keep the current ones. You can find the announcement and an overview on the animations here: http://www.ryzom.de/?page=news&id=1135
Please use the following thread to cast your vote. The poll is located here: http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18005 |

Re: New Race-Specific Animations
Looks good to me, especially since it makes the races appear more different.
It can be difficult to tell those pink skinned homins apart. :P Any chance of movies of movement with weapons as well? And fixing the darkness of some of the current ones? I hope they fine tune the male Tryker run (a bit too limp wrists) and the shoulders on the running Zorais (too much motion compared to body, i.e. a lot of wasted energy in the arms/shoulder). |

Re: New Race-Specific Animations
I'm all for the racial movements - BUT I'd like to see them toned down some - maybe a third. I am getting used to the female tryker movements (too much shoulder movement and b... uh, hindend swishing) and the male trykers are too prissy in their motions ... After seeing my zorai alt running I haven't been able to force myself to play her. My fyros is a wee bit too "cavewoman" for my taste - were they the last out of the trees or sumtin?
Edit: how do you get a clear cut idea of what people like if those who play matis voted the matis ones as okay but thought the zorai animations were terrible? Last edited by danadita : September 15th, 2005 at 07:57 PM. |

Re: New Race-Specific Animations
Nice!
I love the new animations. I want to reroll as a Zoraď woman, or one of those surfer-hobbits! While you're at it, please make a better death animation instead of "BAM! camera topview". |

Re: New Race-Specific Animations
Like the idea of differences in the racial movement and would like to vote yes in the poll but unless the male Tryker run gets abit less "Brighton" in it i will be voting no

Re: New Race-Specific Animations
I like the new Zoria sit.
I hate the new Zoria run. I sort of like the new Matis sit animations, but I was fond of the old ones, too. On the other changes, I could go either way. As was stated, this is an all or nothing deal. We can't vote on part of it, and there won't be any changes made to any of it in the near future. So, the question is still...on the whole, is the new set better than the old set? I am going to have to say no. That Zoria run is really, really bad. |

Re: New Race-Specific Animations
I like 'em.
The Zorai one suits their build better. The Tryker run I saw as more 'jaunty' than 'camp' and besides, it means more Tryker ladies for me! The Fyros look much more suitably butch and who cares about the Matis anyway? :P |

Re: New Race-Specific Animations
I like all the animations. The male tryker is a bit limp wristed though. Still the zorai sitting animation is my fave.
