Killing (ganking) in the PR

Only argument i have is that in a pvp zone imho there is no ganking

The Etiquette of PvP...

When digging in a PvP zone and you are assaulted it is good form to die to the mighty skill of the ganker.

If you respond to the ganker using your combat skills this will be considered a breach of the PvP etiquette.
PvP etiquette dictate that as you entered combat as a digger you should only use your dig skills in defence. Any breach of this will be considered cheating on your part.

If you are AFK at the time of the combat this is also bad form, as you will not be responding to the provocation tells of...
"HA HA HA HA, NOW U DIE NOOB",
and this will be considered a failure to respect your attacker.

If you do manage follow the rules of ettiquette you will sucumb to the mighty onslaught of the attacker.

I think Jamela is mostly rigth. IMHO, and for me, a simple thing happen:

Killing someone unarmed and undefense when you gain nothing for it looks pathetic for me. Even incoherent, when it comes to a game like this, when you easily could be, two days later, making a najab hunt with this same people.

This is, mostly, a cooperative game, most of the time, like it or not. If we don't cooperate, there are no level up. Either, there aren't enough people (Specially if you think in different schedules EU, USA, etc...), so from time to time, you are teaming people from other allergiances (In your same faction or another).

The OP Battles have rules, are honourable, both bands have a lot to lost or win. Not the same in PR.

Could be a lot of honor in kill an oponent in PR armed, and at your level; But I can't see honor nor fun in kill a digger or a 100lvls lower guy making a trek.

But, Hey! I'm not complaining! It's good Ryzom allows some people to be dishonorable and roguish, because it allow some of us feel "morally superior" (Please, note the quotes, all from a RP stanza and exclusivelly in game, nothing to see with Real Life) , witch could be great for our fun and our RP. I love to have a PC who is honourable and fair, in a game when you could not be it.

So, the same that anyone can kill me while I dig in PR, anyone can complain about it and call it "dishonorable" and "ganking". Both things allowed by game, both things fun for every kind of player. Fair play.

Hehe, on Silan i've seen it done, pitty I don't have the time to work it a little on our LoU: go dig in full pvp gear, won't take more than the 4 hours I waited for some supremes: set a trap.

And correction: in OP wars only the attacked guild has something to lose, nobody else

My view like many others have said is, its a pvp area you can expect to be killed, its not smart or any of the rest of it to go around killing diggers but if people want to do it not alot can be said or done. Personally i wont attack people digging in the PR for exp, however supernodes are a different matter

On another note apart from wars on SN ive never been attacked while digging, and only once been killed without attacking first on supernodes, sehraci has that honor
