One-handed Weapons Statistics
We are looking into modifying the values of the one-handed weapons statistics to give more interest to 1H melee and crafting skills. No figure can be given yet as we're tuning them at the moment.
1. Statistics
The dodge, parry, target's dodge and parry modifiers stats will be added to the one-handed (1H) weapons and some other stats (damage, speed and weight) will be rebalanced consequently.
1H weapons stats follow the same logic as two-handed (2H) weapons stats. So, 1H maces and axes will be the slowest weapons and deal more damage while sword, spear and staff will be faster and deal less damage. Daggers will stay the fastest weapon.
2. Weight and Stamina Cost
Your Stamina consumption will depend on the weight of your weapon. As a result, we will need to slightly modify the values of both 1H and 2H weapons weight to rebalance them.
3. Consequences
- The "lightness" statistic of raw mats should become more important in recipes of weapons crafters.
- Weapons weight should become one additional criterion to be considered when buying a new weapon if one wants to save its Stamina.
- The average consumption of Stamina will be smaller when using 1H weapons. It will also be smaller when using lighter 2H weapons.
- Information displayed by the Stamina Credit Stanza will change. It won't give a raw Stamina cost anymore but a factor to be multiplied by the weapon weight to know the consumption of Stamina per action.
And last, some more interest should be given to the pike and a small difference will be introduced between 2H mace and 2H axe parry values.
