How to cast a spell
The art of casting.
Here again the first step involves choosing a target.
Caution: it is not possible to cast offensive spells on allied NPCs, just as it is not possible to cast beneficial spells on enemy NPCs.
Next, casting a spell is as easy as clicking on one of the "spells" actions located in the action bar. To do this, all you need to is click on the spell's icon or press the number key corresponding to the spell's slot number on the action bar.
Caution: if you are too far away, you will not be able to cast your spell.
When you begin casting the spell, its icon appears in the character window. The time bar indicates the length of the incantation time.
Your character may fail to complete the incantation, in which case the spell is a failure and is not cast.
Start the incantation again.
Once cast, your spell will hit the target. Enemies can resist against offensive spells that you direct against them.
Spells consume your sap. If you sap becomes too weak, you will no longer be able to cast any spells.
Caution: if you are attacked, the hits you receive can break your concentration. Furthermore, the casting of a spell can be interrupted by a hit against you.
Pay special attention to the equipment that you are wearing. Heavy and medium armours, and weapons, for example, greatly increase both the amount of sap consumed by the spell and the time required to cast it.
